Harp trapping has been used since the late 1950's to catch microbats without
harming them - the development of the Megaharp trap in the late 1980's
has revolutionised the study of flying-foxes.
Once
in the bag, the flying-foxes can be examined and measured, banded and
released - all without stress or injury.
