One of the primary components of the Farm Forestry and Agroforestry Research Library is the development of a database giving bibliographic details of research projects and publications on farm forestry and agroforestry. On completion of the database, everyone who has contributed information to the database will be mailed a copy of the database and accompanying reports on CD. The database will subsequently be made freely available as an online download to anyone wanting to access it.
The database will include information on a wide range of research on agroforestry and farm forestry in Australia, including both physical science research, economic and social research. For the database to work, it needs data. Have you, or others you know, conducted a survey, a research trial, produced publications or reports, written papers, or produced other information on aspects of agroforestry and farm forestry? The work may never have been formally published, and may only exist in a report sitting in your office - we want to let other people know it exists through the database.
We are currently contacting farm forestry and agroforestry researchers and practitioners across Australia and asking them to provide information for inclusion in the database. We are not asking for information that is subject to copyright - just for references and keywords about particular research. By helping us include your work in the database, you will ensure that a wide range of agroforestry and farm forestry practitioners, extension officers and researchers can find out about your work.
If you have research you want to be included in the database, please fill
in the forms downloadable from this webpage. Once you download the forms,
you can send information to be included in the database in two ways:
1. Fill in the forms electronically, save them under an appropriate name
and email them to jacki.schirmer@anu.edu.au;
2. Print the forms, complete them and send them to the address given at
the end of this email. If you have difficulty downloading the forms, please
email Jacki on jacki.schirmer@anu.edu.au
and she will send you the forms by email or by post
Alternatively, if you already have a list of your publications available,
either email, fax or post it to Jacki
at ANU Forestry (email, fax and address details are given below). Please
note, however, that we want to include an abstract or summary of work, keywords
on each project or publication, and where possible, contact details for
researchers in the database. Please include this information with any publication
lists you send.
If you have any further questions about the project, please contact:
