Work is underway to determine whether particleboard manufactured from a blend of radiata pine and cypress pine which is naturally durable shows enhanced decay, termite and water resistance. White cypress pine is naturally resistant to termite attack and resistant to decay and it is to be anticipated that particleboard manufactured from a blend of radiata pine and cypress pine will show enhanced decay and termite resistance. .
