Wagga Wagga Plant - Laminex

• The Laminex plant has been in production since 1982. Laminex is a wholy owned subsidary of global giant BTR Nylex.
• It sources the chips used in production from the offcut chips of sawmills and from logs which it is licenced to cut from the nearby State Forests. All chipping is done in the forest and there are no chipping facilities at the plant.
• The Wagga Wagga plant has a full melamine surface coating operation and most of its output is coated.
• Laminex has a reputation for customer service and demands premium price for the high standards of product and service it delivers. It has over 45 retail outlets in Australia and primarily markets finished (melamine coated) rather than raw MDF,, typically to small scale manufacturers
• The timber used is primarily Radiata Pine, though some slash pine and eucalypt are used
• Plays a vital role in the economy of Wagga Wagga and surrounds
