Statistics

MDF is a product that has only been recently developed and large scale production only began in the 1980's. AMCOR( link to AMCOR) opened the Oberon MDF plant 1n 1987 (this is the plant now owned by CSR). MDF has consistently incresed its market share by replacing the use of particleboard in several markets. Though the following tables will show particleboard rpoduction increasing this reflects the growth of industry generally.
